GENERAL INFORMATION FOR VETIVER ORGANIC ESSENTIAL OIL:
Our vetiver organic essential oil ( Vetiveria zizanoides ) by Artisan Aromatics originates from Indonesia and is distilled from the rootlets of a perennial tropical grass.
The grass tends to grow in wet and damp environments. It goes by different names including Akar Wangi (fragrant root), Khus Khus (aromatic root), and Oil Of Tranquility. Vetiver is a complex essential oil consisting of over 100 compounds. For this reason, it is a very popular ingredient in both colognes for men and perfumes for women.
Besides having the ability to relax and uplift the spirit, many people consider vetiver organic essential oil a magical sleep aid. This essential oil is ideal for massage therapy and for promoting a serene sleep.
This essential oil is used in Chinese medicine in order to clear the heat from the mind and body and to calm and uplift the spirit. Vetiver organic essential oil is considered one of the finest oriental perfumes that has a persistent fragrance.
Other products vetiver is used in include after-shave lotions, air fresheners, ice cream, sherbets, food preservatives, and some cool drinks.

DIFFUSER USES:
Vetiver organic essential oil is a powerful essential oil, so a little goes a long way. This is a great essential oil to help calm and ground the mind, especially if you feel overworked and stressed out. When blending your own essential oils using vetiver, start with a single drop and work your way up.
The oil can sometimes be too thick to easily come out of the bottle. If this is the case, use a toothpick to get the desired amount out.

VETIVER ESSENTIAL OIL RECIPES:
Here are a few blends you can try with our organic vetiver essential oil. These amounts are for a diffuser in the 100 – 200 ml capacity.
Refer to our diffusing guidelines or your instruction manuals to adjust the amount you use for your particular size of diffuser by either adding or decreasing the drops depends on your diffuser capacity.
Sleepy Time:
- 3 drops Vetiver
- 2 drops Lavender
- 2 drops Ylang Ylang
Refreshing:
- 2 drops Vetiver
- 3 drops Spearmint
- 3 drops Sweet Orange
Cleaning:
- 1 drop Vetiver
- 2 drops Cinnamon
- 2 drops Ylang Ylang
- 3 drops Bergamot
Anxiety:
- 2 drops Vetiver
- 3 drops Lavender
- 2 drops Frankincense
SAFETY FOR VETIVER ORGANIC ESSENTIAL OIL:
Can be irritating to the skin, so if you plan to apply this essential oil on your skin, be sure and dilute 14 drops of vetiver with 1 ounce of a carrier oil.
