We use jasmine in love spells, love magick, and love-related rituals because of its various symbolic and practical properties, its potent aroma, and its ability to attract spiritual and soulful connections. Historically, jasmine has been associated with love and sensuality across different cultures.

Its sweet, intoxicating scent is believed to attract and enhance love, making jasmine a popular choice for romantic settings and ceremonies.

Aesthetically, jasmine’s delicate white flowers symbolize purity and innocence, adding to its appeal in love-related practices.

In many traditions, jasmine is considered an aphrodisiac, believed to ignite passion and enhance sexual attraction. This makes it a common ingredient in love potions and aphrodisiac blends.

Warning: Because jasmine is so highly sought after, the essential oil is often adulterated with artificial compounds such as dipropylene glycol.  Even the most well-known essential oil companies have been caught adulterating their jasmine essential oils, as This Article outlines.  So buyer beware.

Its calming and mood-lifting metaphysical properties also play a role, as jasmine is thought to alleviate emotional barriers and foster a sense of harmony and emotional connection, essential elements in love and relationships.

Additionally, jasmine’s use in rituals often involves practices like anointing, bathing, or burning incense, which are thought to imbue the practitioner or space with its love-attracting qualities.

The flower’s potent fragrance and visual beauty contribute to creating an atmosphere of romance and enchantment, further enhancing its role in love magick and rituals.

In this article, I will explore the fascinating world of how jasmine is used in love spells, love magick, and love rituals.  Near the end of the article, I will include a variety of spells you can try yourself.

3 love spell examples that include jasmine

The spell examples I give follow sound magickal practices and I follow the tradition of HARM NO ONE.

A spell using jasmine incense to attract love and enhance sexual desire

While rituals like this can help set intentions and focus thoughts, they work best when accompanied by actions in the physical world, such as socializing, being open to new relationships, and nurturing self-love and confidence.

You might choose a specific time for the spell, such as during a new moon for new beginnings in love.

Always respect free will; this potion is meant to attract love naturally and should not be intended to coerce or manipulate.

  • Jasmine incense sticks or cones
  • A fireproof incense holder
  • Red or pink candles (representing love and passion)
  • A small piece of paper and pen
  • Rose quartz crystal (optional, for enhancing love energy)
  • A quiet, comfortable space

  1. Prepare the Space: Choose a quiet room where you won’t be disturbed. Cleanse the area to remove negative energies. You can do this by smudging with sage or simply by tidying up and airing out the room.
  2. Set the Intention: Write down your intention on the piece of paper. This could be a specific trait you desire in a partner or a general wish for love and passion in your life. Fold the paper and place it near the incense holder.
  3. Light the Candles: Place the red or pink candles around your space, ensuring they are safely positioned. Light them to set a romantic and serene ambiance, symbolizing the flame of love and desire you wish to ignite or strengthen.
  4. Activate the Rose Quartz: If using, hold the rose quartz crystal in your hands and visualize it glowing with a warm, pink light. Imagine this light representing the love you wish to attract. Place the crystal near the incense holder.
  5. Begin the Incense Ritual: Light the jasmine incense stick or cone and place it in the holder. As the incense begins to burn, watch the smoke as it rises, envisioning it carrying your desires to the universe.
  6. Meditation and Visualization: Sit comfortably near the burning incense. Close your eyes and take deep, slow breaths. Visualize the scent of jasmine as a magnetic force, drawing love and passion into your life. Imagine scenarios where you experience the love and desire you seek, feeling the emotions as vividly as possible.
  7. Chant or Affirmation: You may choose to repeat a love-affirming chant or affirmation. For instance, “I open my heart to love, and I attract the right person who respects and cherishes me.
  8. Closing the Ritual: Once the incense has burned out, express gratitude for the love that is coming your way. Blow out the candles, starting from the last one you lit, moving in reverse order. Keep the rose quartz and the piece of paper with you or in a special place as a reminder of your intention.
  9. Regular Practice: Repeat this ritual regularly, especially on nights with a full moon or Fridays (day of Venus), to reinforce your intention and align your energies with your desires.

Incorporate jasmine into a divination ritual for gaining insights into a romantic prospect or for guidance in a relationship

A divination ritual of this type can be deeply personal and intuitive.  Remember, divination is a subjective and interpretative practice. It’s important to approach it with an open mind and heart, understanding that the guidance received is influenced by your own intuition and subconscious.

The insights gained should be considered as guidance, not absolute predictions.

Divination in love magick is more about tapping into the subconscious and connecting with the universal energies to gain a deeper understanding of one’s love life. It’s not about predicting the future with certainty but rather about seeking guidance and perspective.

Materials Needed:

  • Jasmine flowers or jasmine incense
  • A quiet and comfortable space
  • A small bowl of water (preferably spring or distilled)
  • Candles (white for clarity, or pink for love)
  • Tarot cards, runes, or another divination tool
  • Optional: Rose quartz or amethyst crystal for enhancing intuition

The Ritual:

  1. Prepare Your Space: Choose a quiet room where you won’t be disturbed. Cleanse the space by airing it out, tidying up, or smudging with sage to remove negative energies. This helps create a sacred, peaceful environment for your ritual.
  2. Set Up Your Altar: Arrange your divination tools, jasmine flowers or incense, candles, a bowl of water, and crystals (if using) on a table or any flat surface that will serve as your altar.
  3. Light the Jasmine Incense or Arrange the Flowers: If using jasmine incense, light it to fill the space with its fragrance, which is believed to enhance intuitive powers and connect to the energies of love. Alternatively, arrange jasmine flowers on your altar to harness their energy.
  4. Light the Candles: Light your candles to set the mood and invoke clarity and love energy. White candles can be used for purity and clarity in your insights, while pink candles specifically attract love energy.
  5. Meditate and Focus Your Intentions: Sit comfortably in front of your altar and take a few deep breaths. Focus on your intention to receive guidance about your romantic life. Hold this intention in your mind as you connect with the energies around you.
  6. Engage in Water Scrying: Gently gaze into the bowl of water. Allow your focus to soften and your mind to open to any images, words, or feelings that come to you. The water can serve as a medium for revealing insights about your romantic future.
  7. Use Your Divination Tool: After water scrying, use your chosen divination tool. This could be drawing tarot cards, casting runes, or using another method that resonates with you. Ask specific questions about your love life and interpret the messages received.
  8. Reflect and Journal: After the divination, spend some time reflecting on the insights and messages. Journaling these thoughts can help you process the information and refer back to it later.
  9. Closing the Ritual: Thank the energies and spirits that assisted you in your divination. Extinguish the candles and incense safely. Store your divination tools in a respectful place.
  10. Post-Ritual Practice: Consider keeping the jasmine flowers or a piece of the incense stick with you as a reminder of the insights gained. Reflect on these insights in the coming days, and observe how they manifest in your life.

Love attraction spell with jasmine within a Wiccan framework

Creating a love spell with jasmine within a Wiccan framework involves respecting the core Wiccan principle of “An it harm none, do what ye will.” This means the spell should focus on attracting love in a way that is harmonious and does not impose on the free will of others.

In Wicca, the emphasis is on the practitioner’s intention and harmlessness.

The spell should be performed with a focus on attracting love in its most suitable and harmonious form, rather than attempting to coerce or manipulate specific individuals.

As always, the effectiveness of such rituals also depends on the practitioner’s openness, faith, and alignment with the energies they are invoking.

Materials Needed:

  • Dried jasmine flowers (symbolizing love and attraction)
  • Pink candle (for love and affection)
  • Rose quartz (stone of love)
  • A small bowl of natural water (spring or rainwater, if possible)
  • A piece of paper and pen
  • Altar or sacred space

  1. Prepare Your Altar: Arrange your altar with respect and intention. Place the pink candle in the center, surround it with dried jasmine flowers, and place the rose quartz nearby. The bowl of water should be placed in front of you.
  2. Cleansing Ritual: Begin by cleansing your space and yourself to remove negative energy. You can use sage, palo santo, or simply visualize a white light enveloping the space and yourself, purifying everything.
  3. Casting the Circle: Cast a circle to create a sacred, protected space. This can be done by visualizing a circle of light around your space, calling upon the elements, or using a wand or athame if you have one.
  4. Invocation: Invoke the Goddess and God, or any deities you feel connected to, asking for their presence and blessing in your ritual.
  5. State Your Intent: Write your intention on the paper. This should be focused on attracting love into your life in a way that is positive and for the highest good of all involved. Avoid mentioning specific names to respect free will.
  6. Charging the Candle: Hold the pink candle in your hands, and visualize it being filled with loving energy. Anoint the candle with jasmine oil, moving from the top to the middle (to bring in something new) and from the bottom to the middle (to ground the intention).
  7. Light the Candle: Place the candle back on the altar and light it. As you do, visualize the flame igniting the energy of love in your life.
  8. Empower the Spell: Hold the rose quartz and speak your written intention aloud. Visualize your life filled with love, focusing on the feelings rather than specific outcomes or people.
  9. Release the Intention: Burn the paper with your intention in the candle flame (be cautious) and place it in the bowl of water, visualizing your intention spreading into the universe.
  10. Thanking the Deities: Give thanks to the Goddess, God, or deities you invoked for their presence and assistance.
  11. Closing the Circle: Close the circle by thanking and releasing the elements and any energies that were present. Visualize the circle of light dissipating and the energy grounding back into the earth.
  12. After the Ritual: Allow the candle to burn down safely. Keep the rose quartz with you or in a special place as a reminder of your intention. Dispose of the water and remnants of the paper outside, returning them to nature.
