Jasmine has long been used in Ancient Egypt and China, throughout the Islamic culture, across South Asia including the Hindu culture, the Middle Ages and Renaissance, modern Wicca and Neopaganism, and modern aromatherapy.

  • Common Jasmine: Refers to Jasminum officinale, often considered the “true” jasmine.

  • Poet’s Jasmine: Another name for Jasminum officinale.
