Known as the common spearmint or lady’s mint, spearmint organic essential oil is one of the more subtle minty essential oils. Spearmint has a clean, refreshing scent with a sweeter start and a more floral finish compared to its cousin, peppermint. Great to get invigorated and create a positive environment.

Our Spearmint Organic Essential Oil (Mentha spicata) from Artisan Aromatics is steam distilled from the organically grown flowering tops of herbs here in the United States.
Because of its minty taste, it is used in many products from gums, candles, food products, teas, body products, and dental products, to name a few.
The refreshing aroma of our spearmint organic essential oil is cleansing and uplifting and can give one a sense of focus.
Spearmint organic essential oil is typically safe to use around children over the age of 3, where peppermint is not.
The reason being is its much lower content of menthol.
Using spearmint has long been a popular treatment for vomiting, nausea, respiratory issues, soothing headaches, combating fatigue, and can sometimes be used to treat various skin problems.

Its refreshing aroma is cleansing and uplifting and can give one a sense of focus. It can also be used to give one an energy boost. Great for freshening up a space.

AROMA OF SPEARMINT ORGANIC ESSENTIAL OIL:
clean, refreshing minty scent with a slight floral undertone. Similar to peppermint, but milder.

Basil, bergamot, eucalyptus, lavender, rosemary, chamomile roman, jasmine, lemon, peppermint, mandarin, geranium, pine, ylang ylang, tea tree, orange (sweet), frankincense.
SPEARMINT ESSENTIAL OIL RECIPES:
Here are a few blends you can try with our organic spearmint essential oil. These amounts are for a diffuser in the 100 – 200 ml capacity.
Refer to our diffusing guidelines or your instruction manuals to adjust the amount you use for your particular size of diffuser by either adding or decreasing the drops depends on your diffuser capacity.
Happiness:
- 2 drops Spearmint
- 3 drops Bergamot
- 2 drops Frankincense
Refreshing:
- 2 drops Spearmint
- 2 drops Lemon
- 2 drops Orange or Bergamot
Invigorating:
- 2 drops Spearmint
- 2 drops Tea Tree
- 3 drops Lemon
Pep Me Up:
- 1 drop Spearmint
- 1 drop Peppermint
- 1 drop Cinnamon
- 4 drops Bergamot
SAFETY FOR SPEARMINT ORGANIC ESSENTIAL OIL:
Organic Spearmint Oil can be irritating to the skin, so it is important to dilute (5%) in a carrier oil (95%) such as fractionated coconut, or sweet almond oils for muscle massage; or dilute with evening primrose oil for neck, shoulder and temple massage for migraines or headaches.
