GENERAL INFORMATION FOR JUNIPER ESSENTIAL OIL:
Our Wildcrafted juniper berry essential oil (Juniperus Communis) Is very popular in aromatherapy. Juniper berries have been used since ancient times to treat a variety of issues. Today, they are a primary flavorant of gin, and it is very strong. Native Americans have traditionally used juniper berries to treat urinary tract infections.
The juniper berries used to make this juniper essential oil originated from wild juniper trees that grow in Croatia.
Juniper berry is widely known as a powerful detoxifier and immune system booster.
Research has shown that juniper berries have over 87 compounds including flavanoid and polyphenol, both of which are antioxidants. Other compounds also found in juniper berry essential oil include antibacterials and antifungals.
Juniper berry essential oil is also used in a variety of perfumes, after-shaves, colognes household cleaning products and fragrance sprays.

AROMA:
Juniper berry has a distinctive aroma. Bright and refreshing with a sweet woodsy aroma. Some people detect a fruity, citrus smell with a hint of spice. The aroma can be pungent, in a good way.
BLENDS WELL WITH:
Basil, bergamot, cedarwood, chamomile german, chamomile roman, citronella, clary sage, cypress, frankincense, geranium, grapefruit, lavandin, lavender, lemon, mandarin, myrtle, orange, peppermint, pine, rose absolute, rosemary, sage, sandalwood, thyme, and yarrow. Blends well with all conifers and all citrus oils.
JUNIPER BERRY ESSENTIAL OIL RECIPES:
Here are a few blends you can try with our wildcrafted juniper berry essential oil. These amounts are for a diffuser in the 100 – 200 ml capacity. Refer to our diffusing guidelines or your instruction manuals to adjust the amount you use for your particular size of diffuser by either adding or decreasing the drops depends on your diffuser capacity.
Morning Refresher:
- 3 drops Juniper berry
- 2 drops Clary sage
- 1 drop Ylang ylang

- 3 drops Juniper berry
- 2 drops Grape fruit
- 2 drops Lemon
Alertness:
- 2 drops Juniper berry
- 1 drop Rosemary
- 1 drop Lemon
- 1 drop Cypress

- 2 drops Juniper Berry
- 2 drops Cedarwood
- 2 drops Rosemary
- 2 drops Orange
