GENERAL INFORMATION FOR WILDCRAFTED CYPRESS ESSENTIAL OIL:
Our Cypress essential oil (Cupressus sempervirens) by Artisan Aromatics comes from a coniferous evergreen tree that can reach of height of 100 feet and has been known to live for over 4000 years.
Cypress essential oil is extracted from a wild tree that originates in Crete, the largest and most populous Greek island.
Fresh needles and twigs were used to extract the cypress essential oil using steam distillation.
Cypress essential oil has long been used to support mental and emotional issues. Some of these issues include anxiety, stress, nervousness, chronic tension, hyper-excitability, and adrenal fatigue/neurasthenia. The oil is also a common addition in men’s colognes, deodorants, lotions and soaps.
Some people will use this essential oil in hospice environments because of its relaxing qualities.

CYPRES ESSENTIAL OIL RECIPES:
Here are a few blends for cypress essential oil. These amounts are for a diffuser in the 100 – 200 ml capacity. Refer to our diffusing guidelines or your instruction manuals to adjust the amount you use for your particular size of diffuser by either adding or decreasing the drops depends on your diffuser capacity.
Calming:
- 2 drop Cypress
- 2 drop Lavender
- 2 drop Orange
Energizing:
- 2 drops Cypress
- 3 drops Bergamot
- 1 drop Lemon
Refreshing:
- 2 drops Cypress
- 3 drops Lavender
- 2 drops Lemon
Stress:
- 2 drops Cypress
- 2 drops Rosemary
- 2 drops Mandarine (or Orange)
