GENERAL INFORMATION FOR THYME ESSENTIAL OIL:
Thyme Linolol (Thymus vulgaris) essential oil comes from the leaves and flowers of a bushy perennial evergreen dwarf shrub called Thymus vulgaris.
Well known as a culinary herb, this essential oil has a fresh, sweet, woodsy type of aroma with some herbaceous undertones. Besides its wonderful emotional properties, thyme linolol also has the ability to reduce minor muscular pain and inflammation. Some people consider thyme essential oil as a powerhouse for fighting various viral infections.
Thyme linolol is one of the gentlest anti-septic oils available.
Because of it’s anti-septic properties, it is excellent to use on skin blemishes.
Thyme has long been used to clear up congestion and has been used an an ingredient for infusions, tinctures, and syrups. Today, the healing properties of thyme are under intense scientific research.
Thyme essential oil contains a high level of carvacrol, which is a compound that has been shown to have the ability to eliminate or protecting against viruses and bacteria.
There are several different versions of thyme essential oil that you can purchase. This version, Thyme linolol, is considered the gentlest to use on the skin. Thyme thymol contains more thymol and can be irritating to the skin. Even with this essential oil, if you plan to apply the oil to the skin, be sure and dilute the thyme essential oil first with a carrier oil such as coconut or jojoba oil.
DIFFUSER USES:
Thyme essential oil can be emotionally balancing. Used in a diffuser, thyme is excellent for calming the mind, body, and spirit and can help to increase concentration. For some people, thyme essential oil can be effective at combating chronic fatigue. Because of its anti-microbial properties, some people will use it to purify the surrounding area when used in their diffuser.

Analgesic, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-infectious, antiseptic, antiviral, expectorant, restorative. Can be used for coughs, colds, various chest infections, bacterial skin infections, circulatory problems, muscular pain, numbness, chronic fatigue, lethargy, inability to concentrate.

THYME LINOLOL ESSENTIAL OIL RECIPES:
Here are a few blends you can try with our thyme linolol essential oil. These amounts are for a diffuser in the 100 – 200 ml capacity. Refer to our diffusing guidelines or your instruction manuals to adjust the amount you use for your particular size of diffuser by either adding or decreasing the drops depends on your diffuser capacity.
Energize:
- 2 drops Thyme
- 2 drops Peppermint
- 2 drops Lemon
Purifier:
- 2 drops Thyme
- 2 drops Lemongrass
- 2 drops Clove
Congestion:
- 2 drops Thyme
- 2 drops Eucalyptus
- 2 drops Tea Tree
- 1 drop Lavender
Peacefulness:
- 2 drops Thyme
- 2 drops Lavender
- 2 drops Bergamot
- 2 drops Lemongrass
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR THYME ESSENTIAL OIL:
Can cause skin irritation and can be a mucous membrane irritant. It has been shown to increase blood pressure. For this reason, it should be avoided during pregnancy or for individuals who have elevated blood pressure.

- Do not take internally unless directed by a medical professional.
- Do not apply to eyes, sensitive areas, or mucous membranes.
- Do not apply undiluted to skin.
- Pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children should not use essential oils without first consulting a medical professional.
