GENERAL INFORMATION FOR GINGER ORGANIC ESSENTIAL OIL:
Our ginger organic essential oil from Madagascar has been steam distilled from the fresh organic root.
Because of its warming and soothing properties, ginger can be useful for everyday life. The benefits from ginger organic essential oil are nearly identical to the benefits of fresh ginger.
For some people, diffusing ginger organic essential oil helps to create a balanced, grounding feeling, which may be just what you need when your energy levels are dropping in the late afternoon.
For others, the fragrance from ginger can reduce the feelings of anxiety, exhaustion and anxiousness. Others find that ginger can help them as a sleep aid.
This essential oil is a great addition to massage oils because of its warming and soothing properties, especially when mixed with other essential oils that also have similar properties, such as myrrh, and ylang ylang essential oils.
Ginger organic essential oil is a frequent addition to massage blends used for arthritis, muscle aches and pains because of a component it has called zingibain. This component is responsible for ginger’s anti-inflammatory properties.
In ancient Chinese medicine, ginger organic essential oil has been used for “cold individuals with a pale swollen tongue”. They use it for people who are suffering from colds and the chills.
Being a good expectorant, some find that ginger is effective in removing mucus buildup from the throat and lungs. For this reason, ginger organic essential oil is often added to teas used to ease cold and flu symptoms, especially when mixed with honey.
In the food industry, ginger organic essential oil is used as a preservative and flavoring agent. It is sometimes added to meat recipes in order to soften the meat and make it a little easier to digest.
There is some preliminary research that indicates that ginger may be helpful in reducing cholesterol levels, preventing blood clots, and reduce the incidence of heart attacks. Additional research needs to be conducted.
Some people have reported that ginger acts as a mild aphrodisiac, increasing their sexual desire.

Spicy, sharp, earthy, and woody, with slight floral undertones. The aroma can vary somewhat based on the distillation and quality of the root being distilled. When distilled using fresh root, such as ours, you will get a superior essential oil with a top notch fragrance.

GINGER ESSENTIAL OIL RECIPES:
Here are a few blends you can try with our organic ginger essential oil. These amounts are for a diffuser in the 100 – 200 ml capacity. Refer to our diffusing guidelines or your instruction manuals to adjust the amount you use for your particular size of diffuser by either adding or decreasing the drops depends on your diffuser capacity.
Soothing:
- 2 drops Ginger
- 2 drops Bergamot or Sweet Orange
- 2 drops Sandalwood
- 2 drops ylang ylang
Headaches:
- 2 drops Ginger
- 3 drops Lavender
- 3 drops Peppermint
Winter Blend:
- 2 drops Ginger
- 2 drops Lemon
- 1 drop Frankincense
- 1 drop Sweet Orange
Nausea Reduction:
- 2 drops Ginger
- 3 drops Lavender
- 3 drops Lemon
SAFETY:
Ginger organic essential oil has a high risk as a skin irritant. When used topically, dilute well. We do not recommend you use ginger internally, but if you do, high doses can cause heart burn, diarrhea, and irritation of the mouth. Do not use internally if you are on blood thinner medications. Ginger can lower your blood pressure so do not take internally if you are on high blood pressure medications.
