This Captivating Hand-Carved 4″ Soapstone Oil Burner With Jali Pattern Will Create A Pleasant Ambience In Any Room.
This small dark brown soapstone oil burner with jali pattern is great for creating that perfect ambience in small rooms or on your desk. The essential oil burner is roughly 4″ tall by 3″ wide.
This cylindrical essential oil burner has been designed from a warmly granite-like soapstone and carved into a modern jali design that is attractive in its simplicity. A minimalistic design of symmetric holes allow the candlelight to softly illuminate the area while your favorite scent fills your senses. Use as an essential or fragrance oil burner.
Jali is the term used when describing stone that has a lattice like ornamental pattern. These small openings are suppose to help to increase diffusion. This form of architectural decoration is common in Hindu temple architecture, Indo-Islamic architecture and more generally in Islamic architecture.
You can disperse your essential oils with either a small tealight candle or allow your essential oils to naturally evaporate.
Candle
When using a candle, place the soapstone oil burner with braids on a stable surface. Also we suggest you place the oil burner on a coaster because it does get hot and you do not want to burn the surface of what ever you are placing your burner on.
Place the bowl on top and pour at least 2 tablespoons of water in the upper dish or fill the dish until it is up to 3/4 full. Adding water is important otherwise, your essential oil will smoke and burn the bowl. Do not let the water completely evaporate.
Add 8-10 drops of essential oil into the water.
Place a lit tealight candle inside the burner. We suggest you use a smaller tealight candle that is approximately 1.5″ x 2″. This will provide you about a 4-7 hour burn time depending on the candle. The warm light of the candle will produce various patterns as it flickers.
WARNING! This soapstone oil burner with jali pattern will get very hot. When using a candle, we suggest you place the burner on a cup coaster and do not touch the soapstone burner until it has cooled off. Please keep away from young children and pets. Do not place near or on combustible items such as tablecloths or drapes.
Please keep in mind that if you want to use your essential oils for a therapeutic purpose, this is not ideal since heat can destroy some of the therapeutic qualities of many essential oils. But if you are only interested in the aroma, than this is perfect.
Evaporation
When dispersing the essential oil aroma through evaporation (no candle), just add a 4-10 drops of your favorite essential oil on a cotton ball and place in either the bowl or inside where the candle would normally go, or place a few drops in the bowl itself.
The essential oil will evaporate and will permeate around a small area such as your desk or a coffee table next to your couch. A few drops will usually emit an aroma for several hours, depending on the type of essential oil.
To add the flickering light of a candle to your red soapstone oil diffuser, you can use a battery operated LED tealight candle. Depending on the brand, the battery in these types of candles can last several days. And of course you can replace the batteries.
Each soapstone oil burner with braids is unique because they are hand carved from soapstone, a naturally occurring soft but very dense stone. It is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, so it is great to take and use anywhere.
