GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ORGANIC SPAROOM PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL :
Organic Sparoom Peppermint essential oil (mentha piperita) is a naturally occurring sub-species of spearmint and watermint. Many consider the aroma to be clean, sharp and minty. It can be both invigorating and stimulating. Peppermint is considered one of the top 5 essential oils you should have at home.
People have long used Peppermint to help ease breathing when they are suffering from a cough. In 2013, a study was conducted that suggests that when a healthy person uses peppermint oil, it can help to relax the muscles of the windpipe, known as the bronchial muscles, which would explain why peppermint can ease cough symptoms.
Our Sparoom Peppermint essential oil also has a cooling effect when inhaled. This effect can help sooth or numb an itchy throat caused from cold or allergies.
Another well documented use for peppermint is its ability to repel spiders.
Spiders absolutely do not like the aroma of peppermint.
Peppermint essential oil may work for all kinds of species including brown recluse, wolf and black widow spiders. Most spiders will run in the opposite direction after detecting the presence of the aroma. It is most effective when you apply it at the entrances of your home.
Add 20 or more drops to an 8 ounce spray bottle. Spray the area you want to repel spiders 2 times a week. You can also place a few drops of pure peppermint essential oil around the areas you wish to deter spiders.
Please be aware that Sparoom (or any other brand) peppermint essential oil should not be used to make a cup of peppermint tea. A single drop of peppermint essential oil is equivalent to about 120 cups of peppermint tea.
